Once-A-Month FREE defensive driving class for members, $20 non-member at Melrose Credit Union

This information is 100% real and legitimate. Melrose Credit Union (via its insurance unit “Member Brokerage Service, LLC“) is having the defensive driving class on the FIRST Saturday of EACH MONTH – Pre-Registration is required (see details below). While you’re at the defensive driving class, check out the insurance quotes offered by MBS.

Why take defensive driving class?  Reasons: you save 10% on your car insurance premium for 3 years and reduce 4 points with the DMV. This class is cheaper than what AAA offers to its members. And Melrose CU provides FREE breakfast and lunch for the class. If you take the class through AAA in NYC & its suburbs, AAA member pays $39, non-AAA member $49. So it is still cheap to pay $20 non-member price for this class offered by Melrose CU. For members of Melrose CU, this class is FREE of charge.

You won’t find any Big Banks willing to provide so much goodies to its members. Even non-members of Melrose CU get deeply discounted prices for the defensive driving class.

WHEN: In general, the FIRST Saturday of EACH MONTH from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Pre-Registration is required. Bring your valid driver’s license to the class.
WHERE: Melrose Credit Union address:  139-30 Queens Boulevard, Briarwood, N.Y. 11435 in Queens County, NY.  FREE parking available at its gated parking lot next to the office.
Public Transit options: via subway F train to Briarwood/Van Wyck Blvd. station, or E train to Jamaica/Van Wyck station.   via Bus Q20A, Q20B, Q44 Local and Q60 stop in front of Melrose CU.

About 3-4 weeks after you completed the defensive driving class, you should be receiving the defensive driving completion certificate in the mail. You should call your car insurance company to find out their Fax number or mailing address to send the certificate to them and receive the 10% car insurance discount good for 3 years. Make sure to include your Car Insurance policy# to get proper credit/discount. Wait a few business days to follow-up with the insurance company to make sure they have credited the 10% discount on your account.
